Thermofilm Pty Ltd is a 100% Australian owned manufacturer, designer and distributor of innovative electric heating products, for both indoor and outdoor applications, established in 1988.
The key focus for HEATSTRIP product design is innovation, style and energy efficiency. With Thermofilm products being manufactured for more than 30 years, the range is currently supplied to residential, commercial and institutional markets, both in Australia and around the world.
Apart from the award winning HEATSTRIP outdoor heaters, other products within the range include convective wall panel heaters; radiant panels and strip heaters for indoor applications, as well as Heat n’ Grow propagation trays for the horticultural and hydroponic markets, energy savings controllers, industrial carbon film heaters and much more.
In 2013, HEATSTRIP Classic won the highly coveted “Product Value” category of the Australian Business Award.
Thermofilm has grown from a small family company in 1988 to a market leader, where HEATSTRIP heaters are now supplied and well known all around the world.

Innovation, quality and service are key drivers and all HEATSTRIP products are designed and developed by an engineering team with extensive experience in research, testing, validation and product approvals. The HEATSTRIP range of electric heaters (THE , THH-A, THX & THS) are fully tested, certified and approved to mulitple local and international standards, including AS/NZ, SAA, CE, ROHS, UL, CSA and PSE.
The HEATSTRIP Research & Development department utilise full CAD capabilities, extensive prototyping, material analysis and testing (then more testing), to ensure we lead the world in terms of quality and product excellence. All employees (not just manufacturing) undergo training in varios systems such as 5S, JIT etc. to ensure worlds best practice and development of a culture of continuous improvement.
A cornerstone of all HEATSTRIP operations is community involvement and reducing our environmental impact.
HEATSTRIP is involved in supporting community organisations, whether it be by product donations or sponsorships. An example of this is our recent donation of a complete heating system to the Victorian State Emergency Service (SES) for their training room requirements, as well as HEATSTRIP sponsorship of several local community basketball and netball sporting clubs, to assist with junior participation and development programs. Significant focus is also on Thermofilms environmental impact. This includes designing the HEATSTRIP product to maximise recyclability of product components; sourcing parts to reduce embedded energy in the supply chain and retrofitting energy efficent appliances to the factory and offices.
