At the Belfry Golf Academy, located in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands UK, keeping the golf practice areas warm is a MUST. In order to allow the keen golfer to still pursue their passion during the colder months in central England, a large quantity of HEATSTRIP® Max units were installed in the Golf Shop and driving range. Mounted overhead in the Pro Shop, fittings areas and each practice bay, HEATSTRIP® allows England’s only PGA branded golf academy to be fully used all year round.
A beautiful, custom designed home on the Murray River was recently showcased on “Australias Best Homes”on Channel 7Two, utilizing HEATSTRIP® Classic heaters in the alfresco area.

The HEATSTRIP® Classic heaters provide a stylish look and feel, and the 300mm extension pole kits ensure that the heating effectiveness is maximised.

Outdoor Oasis: Enjoying the outdoor lifestyle in a small space
A recent design by Steve Taylor of COS Design, shows how best to utilise a small space, in an inner city courtyard in South Melbourne.
Steve explains that “the owners asked us to turn a cold, never used courtyard into an inviting, liveable and functional space with a plunge pool for the summer months, flexible shade and an alfresco kitchen”. The outdoor retreat Steve designed is contemporary, yet also warm and welcoming with the liberal use of timber decking and panelling to add privacy.
The “big ticket” items were a retractable shade system equipped with Heatstrip Classic heaters; a plunge pool and full equipped outdoor kitchen – everything you need for outdoor entertaining.
Steve Taylor is an award winning landscape designer and C.O.S Design is one of Australia’s most highly regarded companies. Recently, Steve has also been hosting “Best Gardens Australia” on the 7 network, which showcases Australia’s best garden designers and their work.
Alfresco Project - Jakin Pools & Landscaping l NSW
When the experienced construction team at Jakin Pools and Landscaping were finalising an elaborate backyard pool installation complete with an alfresco dining and entertaining area, they chose to use Thermofilm’s HEATSTRIP® Classic heaters as the perfect finishing touch.
Three ceiling-mounted HEATSTRIP® Classic heaters provide gentle ambient warmth on those chilly nights, allowing owners David and Stephanie to use the alfresco area for dining and entertaining all year round. The elegant, slimline design of the HEATSTRIP® panels blends in perfectly with the surrounding décor, while their non-glowing, silent operation is both unobtrusive and highly energy-efficient. The heaters were mounted directly overhead the dining table and outdoor lounge, for maximum performance.
David and Stephanie are able to enjoy outdoor dining and entertaining, even when the weather is not suitable for swimming in their new pool.
One of our latest winter heating projects is the Sir Paz Estate located in the famous wine growing region of the Yarra Valley, near Melbourne.
Sir Paz Estate is on a beautiful 35 acre elevated site, surrounded by orchards and other vineyards, and has recently opened a Cellar Door which provides wine and cheese tasting, as well as weddings, parties and corporate events. The venue has a large external terrace with elevated views over the Yarra Valley, which until recently has been uninviting in winter, due to the lack of outdoor heating.
According to owner Peter Zapris, the challenge was to find an outdoor heating system that was effective, unobtrusive and high quality - in order to maintain the magnificent views and complement the quality of the site and local produce. Heatstrip Classic was selected as it is stylish, slimline and Australian designed and engineered. Staff could also zone the large area, depending on customer loads and being electric, Heatstrip could be operated at the push of at button, and running costs are considerably less compared to the bottled gas heaters.
